GACHAGUA FACES THE MOUNTAIN AGAIN

Former DP Rigathi Gachagua made a thunderous political entourage in Murang’a, just a day after President Ruto concluded his Mt. Kenya tour. He pulled mammoths of people— sparking speculations about his position in the political arena.

He arrived at Murang'a moments after a Sunday service he attended at PCEA, Kasarani East had been altered by chaos. Gachagua alias 'Wamunyoror' was welcomed with cheers and traditional songs, being accompanied with a lineup of Mt. Kenya leaders by his side.
He used that platform to express his affection for Mt. Kenya and his desire to see them benefit;
“Mt. Kenya is not to be used and forgotten,” Gachagua said. “We have contributed to the building of this nation, and our people must benefit from that effort.”

He refrained from directly attacking the Head of State but poured out his frustrations on how the current regime has dealt with the leaders from the vote rich Mt Kenya region.

This might be Gachagua's strategy to prove a point that he is still very relevant when it comes to Mt. Kenya politics, and he possess the right to be termed as the area's kingpin .

The locals tended to vouch him as their leader and spokesman;
“This is our leader,” one Murang’a resident said. “He speaks for us when others remain silent," one of the residents said.

This reappearance can be likened to a turbulent that rises after a lull, however, will Gachagua's turbulent stand the real test of time?
