Gachagua hosts Kirinyaga Leaders

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has met a group of Kirinyaga county leaders, in a strategic move to strengthen his support base.
The meeting which followed a similar one with some lawyers in the morning, was held at his Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri, and was attended by Kirinyaga senator James Murango and woman representative Njeri Maina.
Also present were some MCAs David Mathenge (Baragwi Ward), Kinyua Wangui (Mutira Ward), Moses Maina (Kanyekini Ward), Eric Muchina (Kerugoya), Beatrice Mitaro (Wamumu) and Daisy Githinji (Kabage Ward).
Gachagua revealed that they discussed the prevailing local sentiment across the county and the expectations of the people regarding current national developments.
"They also shared their proposals on what we should do as we plan onwards,” he stated.
While the former Deputy President is yet to make known his political plans, his engagement with leaders from across the country is certainly sending a message, while simultaneously serving as a strategy to bolster his influence in Mt Kenya and across the country.
Earlier on Saturday 8, Gachagua met a delegation of the Law Society of Kenya, where according to him, they had a thought-provoking conversation that shed light on their perspectives and offered valuable insights into the complexities of the nation's governance.
