Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has strongly opposed the idea of making Raila Odinga a Prime Minister in President William Ruto’s government.
Speaking on Wednesday night, Kalonzo dismissed the proposal, questioning how Raila, who believes he won the 2022 elections, could serve under Ruto.
"If they are suggesting that Raila Odinga become Prime Minister, then they do not know him. According to him, he won the elections, and now you want him to become Prime Minister to Ruto? What will you be telling the country?" Kalonzo asked.
His statement comes after Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei called for the full implementation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.
"We must now fully implement the NADCO Report by amending the Constitution 2010 through creating the office of the Prime Minister (PM) and allowing Rt. Hon. Baba Raila Odinga to serve Kenyans in that capacity," Cherargei stated on Monday.
Cherargei argued that Raila’s experience and leadership should not go to waste, especially after he lost the African Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship bid.
