MP Amisi Praises Ruto, Criticizes Uhuru

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has commended President William Ruto for making bold political decisions, particularly in handling leadership changes within the government.
According to Amisi, Ruto’s recent moves reflect a level of political strategy that he and other leaders had previously advised former President Uhuru Kenyatta to adopt.

Speaking months after Deputy President Kithure Kindiki was sworn in, Amisi said that Ruto's leadership demonstrated political maturity and courage.

He specifically highlighted the removal of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, a move that many had suggested to Uhuru during his tenure, but he chose not to act on it.

“Congratulations, Ruto, for doing what we had told Uhuru to do. If he had listened, things would have been different, and Baba (Raila Odinga) might have had an easier path to the presidency. Politics is about strategy, not just experience,” Amisi stated.

He emphasized that young leaders like himself would continue providing ideas to help shape the country’s future.

He urged politicians to prioritize national interests over personal political gains

He concluded by calling on leaders to work together in addressing the challenges affecting Kenyans, saying that political differences should not hinder progress in key sectors like health and agriculture.
