Kiharu Mp, Ndindi Nyoro , who has for long regarded President Ruto as a mentor and ally, seemed to shift dimensions on his view of Ruto's leadership .
Speaking at the Institute of Public Finance on Tuesday, April 15, the MP indirectly blasted President Ruto's focusing on his rivals at the expense of his duties.
"You can spend a lot of time fixing your politics and you neglect the role at which you are actually elected to do. That's something profound that I learnt in my first two years. That you can spend a lot of time trying to fix your competitor, trying to fix and follow where the person who may want your seat has gone to, trying to silence somebody, maybe in social media or elsewhere, provoking you to do something better."
This comes about a month , after Nyoro was ousted from the powerful Budgets and Appropriations Committee ,chairmanship position and replaced by MP Alego Usonga, Sam Atandi.
This ouster motion was based on allegations of graft; an issue that Nyoro dismissed, stating that he had no Idea of what led to his removal.
However, speculations have it that Nyoro's ouster was politically instigated, following diminished friendship between him and the president since former DP Gachagua was impeached and the introduction of the broad based government.
During a televised media interview, the president had downplayed his alleged fallout with the Kiharu Law Maker. Ruto praised Nyoro, stating that he is politically mentoring the youthful Kiharu lawmaker among other young leaders .
The head of state defended the move to impeach Ndindi Nyoro from the finance committee stating that such disciplinary actions were part of his mentorship strategies .
However, Nyoro's cryptic statement proved that he is no longer in good terms with Ruto's style of leadership neither his mentorship.
"I realised it is very important that as a leader, you focus on something that can stand the test of time. I realised that it is important you spend your time as a leader addressing the issues that are not necessarily things that you are proving through word of mouth, but things you do that are all seasonal. Those things that are all seasonal are the deliverables you do around the sectors that you should be working around,"the youthful law maker added sending a cryptic advice to president.
