Prof. Mutua Criticizes CS Muturi

On Saturday 1, February 2025, distinguished Professor at State University of New York (SUNY) Makau Mutua's name trended across the social media platforms, after he advised Public Service Cabinet Secretary (CS) and former Attorney General (AG) of the republic of Kenya Hon Justin Muturi to immediately resign from office if he is to be treated as a man of honor.

Through the X platform, Makau Mutua called upon Mr Muturi, to bid his last goodbye to the Kenya Kwanza administration, if he has been finding it hard to accept the unpopular policies by President William Ruto's government, which he (Muturi) has been violently and virulently disagreeing with particularly the issue of abductions across the country.

Specifically, Makau Mutua branded CS Justin Muturi a "hypocrite" for allegedly portraying double standards by having one of his foot into the government while holding a Public Service office while the other is evidently out of government following his constant attacks at the administration.

"Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi must resign from office if he is a man of honor. How can he squat in a public office in a government he so violently and virulently disagrees with? C’mon, brother, don’t be a hypocrite!" Prof Makau Mutua posted on his X platform.

Hours after his remarks, Makau Mutua attracted critisicm from social media fanatics who slammed him for lecturing Justin Muturi knowing very well that William Ruto never resigned when he criticized his then boss Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta during the former Jubilee administration.

In a rather controversial fashion, one of the social media fanatic opined that President William Ruto is the who needs to resign from office, because he has refused to adjust with the constant criticism directed towards his administration both internally and externally.
