STIVO SIMPLE BOY SETS TO ENTER POLITICS

Musician and content creator , Steven Otieno Adera alias Stivo Simple Boy has declared his bid to run for Kibra's Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in Nairobi ahead of the 2027 elections.

During a YouTube interview, the sensational artist revealed that the desire to uplift the youths in Kibira as the impetus behind his bid.

“There are so many young individuals in Kibra without employment or bursaries. Once I’m elected, we’ll focus on creating job opportunities and ensuring bursaries get to those who need them,” he said particularly focusing on employment opportunities and academic empowerment.

He continued predicting his debut and success in the political landscape .

“I see myself as a future leader. I’ll begin by serving at the grassroots level as an MCA in 2027 and grow from there,” Simple Boy enhanced.

Stivo also called out the incumbent leaders terming some as greedy and concerned with self service rather than serving their subjects.

“Some of them are only in office to serve themselves. They’re not working for the people, they’re just eating and growing fat,” he stated.

He further commended Mumias East MP, Peter Salasya of his performance, referring him as a role model.

“Peter Salasya is a great example. He’s grounded and serves the people well."

Stivo Simple Boy has proven his focus on youth empowerment by launching the Simple Boy Foundation, aimed at academic empowerment, job creation and drug abuse eradication.

Taking to his official Instagram page on April, the artist revealed the launch of his foundation with the focus being , facilitating educational progression for class 8 and form four leavers .

“Leo nimezindua Simple Boy Foundation na itakuwa inafocus kwa vitu tatu: elimu, mihadarati na kazi. Na kama wewe ni mwanafunzi umemaliza Class 8 ama Form Four, nimeshirikiana na shule kadhaa, mtakuwa mnapewa courses bure bila malipo,” he highlighted.
