Chelsea have reached a full agreement on personal terms with Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, sources confirm.
The 20-year-old Argentina international has made it clear since July that Chelsea is his priority destination. Talks between Garnacho’s camp and the Blues have been ongoing for weeks, with the final details on contract terms now settled.
Garnacho has rejected interest from Serie A, Bundesliga sides, and a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, maintaining his focus on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Negotiations will now shift to the club-to-club stage, as Chelsea open discussions with Manchester United to agree on a transfer fee. While there is currently a gap in valuation, talks are described as “underway” and progressing.
In parallel, Chelsea are also pursuing PSV Eindhoven midfielder Xavi Simons, who is a target in the same transfer window.
Garnacho, who joined Manchester United from Atlético Madrid’s youth system in 2020, has become one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents. Last season, he recorded key goals and assists across domestic and European competitions, attracting top-level interest across Europe.
Both clubs are expected to continue negotiations in the coming days, with Chelsea determined to bring Garnacho to London before the close of the transfer window.
