NSL GETS SPOTLIGHT

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has assured National Super League (NSL) supporters that a number of the games will be broadcast live on TV and radio during the 2025/26 season, in an effort to raise the league's profile.
FKF Chairman Hussein Mohammed made the announcement on Wednesday when he launched a sponsorship deal in which three NSL clubs – 3K FC, Migori Youth FC, and Kisumu All Stars – received KSh 6 million in support, as well as full home, away, and third kits for the season.

Hussein emphasized that the shift to broadcast and telecast NSL games is part of a grand design to maximise visibility and expansion at the second level.
"NSL also deserves to be covered on radio, also deserves to be covered on live coverage. In this season, I promise you, we will have some of your games broadcast live on television. So that we continue to grow and give you more publicity and exposure, and we continue to grow your clubs at that level," he added.

The FKF chairman highlighted that increased coverage will not only make NSL clubs more competitive but also make them appealing to potential sponsors.
He also noted that the publicity will give players and coaches a broader platform while also boosting fan passion across the country.

But Hussein was also quick to highlight that development cannot be done without good governance. He encouraged clubs to embrace accountability and transparency when dealing with finances.
"It is only the beginning, we are going to do more. So governance becomes very important at the club level.".

"Make sure that whatever you do, you are answerable whenever the resources are available, that you are transparent in how you do your things, and also that you do your things with integrity in how we run the game. That is the only way that you will attract more partners and more sponsors to board," he added.

The NSL, which is regarded as the most straightforward path to the top FKF Premier League, previously had a low profile and limited commercial support.

The new commitment by FKF, with the latest sponsorship, marks a new dawn that can redefine the perception and consumption of the league among fans.

With hopes of TV games, radio broadcasting, and fresh investment, the 2025/26 NSL season will be one of the most exciting in years.
