SHABANA TARGETS AFC LEOPARDS WIN AFTER TWO LOSES IN A ROW

Shabana FC coach Peter Okidi has referred to their following Wednesday Kenyan Premier League match against AFC Leopards as "a must-win."

The Gusii side lost over the weekend losing 0-1 to KCB FC in a match that was hosted at the Gusii Stadium.

The defeat has left the team in the dock following a second home loss in the term. The defeat has been at the hands of the team's early‑season momentum and contrary to the pre‑season objective of the team – that of competing for the KPL title.
And before the Wednesday meeting with the big cats Leopards, Okidi has issued the warning shots.

"Football is not always fair at times," the tactician said, "This is a victory game for us. We need to win — in absolute terms."

In his commentary, Okidi mentioned critical exclusions that have affected his team's rhythm, singling out injured players such as Brian [Michira[, Imbali[Gilbert] and George[ Onyango Adizo]. He assured fans that rehab is on track and promised to recall the trio as soon as possible. "Now we go back, we collect ourselves so that when they're fit we can collect points," the coach added.

Now fourth in the FKF Premier League on 7 points, Shabana are behind league pacesetters Kakamega Homeboyz and Posta Rangers, both on 10 points, and Gor Mahia on 9 points. With the league so evenly matched and momentum now crucial, Okidi sees Wednesday's game as a watershed.
