2027 PRESIDENTIAL RUNOFF

Saboti law maker, Caleb Amisi has speculated a possible runoff in the 2027 presidential polls .

Taking to his official X page, the ODM legislator implied a strategic plan by the opposition to clench power by forcing a runoff, through fielding several presidential candidates.
Amisi argued this as the handiwork of former number two, Rigathi Gachagua , who would ensure more MPs elected on his side – he would therefore be having all the negotiation rights.

“The plan is in place. Field many candidates to ensure a runoff, then negotiate with Gachagua who will be penniless but with more than enough MPs elected on his party, and you know what that means,odm back to opposition," Amisi tweeted portending an impending danger on ODM's place in government.

A runoff, occurs when the winner of the polls has not attained the 50+1, threshold, a fresh election has to be conducted between the number one and the runners up to find the ultimate winner. There are higher chances of a runoff when several candidates run for the ballots, causing voter division or distribution .

The MP continued warning of an imminent doom on the broad-based government upon 2027, which he analogized as the judgement day.

"The only way to defeat an unpopular regime democratically is to ensure only two presidential candidates on the ballot : the new vs. the incumbent . This can be done through citizens' coercion." Amisi added.

He furthered highlighting that more than three presidential candidates should prompt the broad-based government, particularly, ODM to act accordingly or take flight – probably from their incumbent arrangement.
"The moment you see more than three presidential candidates in 2027 is the time to apply binomial expansion theorem;stay hell on earth, or seek permanent visa elsewhere!"

"Kenya needs a Renaissance," he finished.
