ABDUBA DIDA FREED AFTER 3-YEAR JAIL TERM IN THE US.

Two-time presidential candidate Mohammed Abduba Dida, two-time Kenyan presidential candidate for year 2012 and 2017 was exonerated after serving a 3-year jail term in the USA.

Dida was initially prosecuted to serve 7 years in jail, meaning that he was projected to exit his jail term on April 3, 2029.

However, he was freed on Parole meaning that, he is conditionally freed before his 7-year term to serve the rest of his sentence in community service, but under supervision.

Big Muddy Correctional Facility in Illinois, revealed that Mwalimu Dida was provisionally freed on March , 3 to offer voluntary services for the rest of his sentence in the US .

Dida had been held behind bars since November 18, 2022, after being charged of stalking and intimidating his American wife in the Midwestern US state. Following this was a court prosecution which found him guilty of violating a restraining order by entering an area deemed off-limits as per the law.

A family member revealed that Dida went to pray in a Mosque that was proximate to the house of the protected individual, where he was arrested.
“He went to a mosque nearby to pray, not knowing it was within an area he was barred from entering, as Mama Lila also frequently visited the same mosque,” a family member said.

However , his relatives tried appealing against his arrest but they were not successful.
