DP Kindiki Tells Off Critics

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has hit back at critics, insisting that President Ruto harbours zero interest in any supremacy or popularity contests.
Speaking today at the official DP residence in Karen, Kindiki said anyone threatening the Kenya Kwanza administration to any such contests is directing his or her energy towards the wrong people.
He went on to say that those seeking popularity can continue doing that as the government focuses on delivering on its campaign promise of making the lives of Kenyans better.
"Those threatening us and inviting us for a popularity contest, just know that you are addressing the wrong people. President William Ruto is not interested in popularity or supremacy contests, and as his principal assistant, I support him fully.
“We will all help him deliver affordable housing, transform agriculture, construct more roads, and create jobs. Claps and popularity will find us on the way. For now, those interested in popularity can continue,” Kindiki said.
The DP noted that there is a difference between a politician and a leader, adding that what Ruto has chosen to be is a leader for the people of Kenya.
“There's a difference between a leader and a politician. A leader is deliberately and ruthlessly focused on delivery. A politician looks for popularity and claps," he added.
