FBI MOVEMENT LEADER PATRICK OSOI DENIES ARREST, SAYS HE VOLUNTARILY SURRENDERED TO POLICE

Presidential aspirant and FBI (Fighting Brutality and Impunity) movement leader Patrick Osoi has dismissed claims that he was arrested by police, clarifying that he voluntarily surrendered after learning that authorities were seeking him.

Osoi, a former KDF Special Forces soldier, National Intelligence Service officer, and US Army veteran, appeared in police custody following reports of an ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, 2012, and charges related to firearm possession. He was arraigned at Kahawa Law Courts and released on a cash bail of KSh50,000 or a bond of KSh200,000 with a surety.

Speaking to Radio Maisha, Osoi highlighted procedural gaps in police operations, noting that he had not been formally notified to appear but chose to surrender to avoid confrontation. He urged individuals wanted by authorities to cooperate peacefully and called for law enforcement to exercise restraint during operations.

The incident underscores the importance of clear communication and adherence to proper procedures during police investigations, particularly in cases involving high-profile individuals or politically sensitive matters.
