GACHAGUA LAUNCHES ANOTHER DCP BRANCH IN THE US

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has inaugurated a second U.S.-based branch of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) in Kansas City, Missouri - deepening the party’s roots among Kenyans in the diaspora.

The new office in Missouri marks a significant milestone in Gachagua’s ongoing two-month tour of the United States. The Kansas City Chapter, referred to as the Midwest DCP Office, comes less than a month after the party opened its first overseas branch in Seattle, Washington.

While addressing attendees during the Kansas launch, Gachagua emphasized the party’s unwavering mission to build an inclusive political movement that resonates with all Kenyans—regardless of the location.

“DCP continues to strengthen its commitment to listening to the people of Kenya across the board, fostering a truly inclusive and responsive approach,” Gachagua said. “It was my absolute pleasure to join Kenyans in the diaspora for the official opening of the Midwest DCP Office, Kansas City Chapter, USA.”

He noted that expanding the party's presence into the diaspora is not only symbolic but strategic, aiming to connect with a growing community of Kenyans abroad whose voices and concerns are often overlooked in national discourse.

“Together, we are building bridges and empowering Kenyans wherever they are,” he added. “Here’s to more growth, collaboration, and listening to the voices that matter most.”

The Kansas City launch builds on momentum from the earlier unveiling of DCP’s first U.S. office—the North Pacific Chapter Satellite Office in Seattle—on July 14, 2025. The Seattle event was held just days after Gachagua touched down at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to begin his U.S. engagement tour.

During the Seattle launch, Gachagua described the expansion as a step toward a global political network that includes every Kenyan voice.

“This new office will strengthen our efforts, foster greater engagement, and bring our initiatives closer to the people of Seattle and the surrounding areas,” he said. “Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive future.”

The DCP Party leadership also issued a statement after the Seattle launch, reaffirming their commitment to inclusivity and grassroots mobilization:
