KAIKAI DISPUTES OMBIJA’S CLAIM GACHAGUA SOUGHT HIS SACKING
Former Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday, 13 April visited Kajiado county to condole with the family of the former Kajiado county Women Rep, Hon Janet Marania Teiya who passed away days ago while on treatment at a local hospital.
Gachagua was accompanied by his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, Kirinyaga Women Rep, Jane Njeri Maina and other local leaders.
However, his entrance and event faced hostility from a section of individuals who could be heard heckling while Gachagua stepped in the podium to address the locals.
The hecklers could be heard chanting president William Samoei Ruto's name but this did not deter him from delivering his speech.
This occurs as Gachagua is wooing the larger Maa community, he was also in Kajiado weeks back when he hinted of launching a political party in May, and its national chair would come from the area. He added that his party would be unveiled in a colorful ceremony in Nairobi and the people of Kajiado would be the first priority as the party advances to national level.
