Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja has reshuffled county leadership, handing some of the County Chief Officers new dockets.
In a communiqué on Tuesday, Sakaja announced the changes in line with provisions of Section 45(5) of the County Governments Act, 2012, that gives the governor powers to transfer a county chief officer from one office to another.
Ten CCOs were reassigned dockets; some had additional responsibilities added to their dockets.
Geoffrey Mosiria, who has apparently been engaged and energetic in his Environment docket, has been transferred to Citizen Engagement and Customer Service.
He is popularly known as Clemos due to his famed career in music production and even co-founding Calif Records. Rapudo has been moved from City Culture, Arts and Tourism to Smart Nairobi, a sector in charge of ICT in the county and e-services.
Godfrey Akumali has been transferred from the Business and Hustler Opportunities docket to Housing and Urban Renewal, swapping roles with Lydia Mathia.
The new Environment CCO will be Hibrahim Otieno, who will relinquish the Medical Facilities docket to Sande Gyolo.
Gyolo was the CCO for Digital Economy and Start-ups. This portfolio was taken over by Wilson Gakuya who is heading the Smart Nairobi sector.
Machel Waikenda will remain at the Mobility docket and also hold the acting position of ICT Infrastructure CCO.
Zipporah Mwangi has also been moved from the Citizen Engagement and Customer Service docket to City Culture, Arts and Tourism.
