Governors Threaten to Shut Down Counties in 14 Days

Each of the 47 counties have their governors, who are in charge, together with their ministers. Moreover, they collect taxes which they claim assist in effective and smooth running of the counties.

But Governors have threatened to lock down counties if the National Treasury does not remit money to them.

According to Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma, he questioned where Governors take the money that is collected through taxes in their respective counties.

Hon Kaluma went ahead and said that counties are becoming centres for centralization of resources and plundering taxes that they collect from locals.
