HELB SIMPLIFIES ACCESS TO CONPLIANCE CERTIFICATES ONLINE

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has simplified the process of obtaining a compliance certificate, making it faster and more convenient for loan beneficiaries, employers, and institutions.
The new system allows users to download the certificate free of charge through the Higher Education Financing (HEF) Portal, eliminating the need for physical visits to HELB offices.
According to the notice shared by the Higher Education Loans Board on September 18, the move supports Kenya’s push towards digital public services by reducing paperwork and saving time.
“We have made it even simpler to access your compliance certificate… Your compliance certificate is at your fingertips,” HELB noted.
The compliance certificate is a vital document for graduates seeking employment or those applying for government tenders, as it verifies that they are repaying or have cleared their student loans.
“Obtaining your HELB Compliance Certificate is now easier than ever. Access it online through the HEF Portal, on the Self-serve tab. Secure yours with ease and stay compliant,” HELB advised in their statement.
To access the certificate, visit http://hef.co.ke using any device with an internet connection.
First, one must register or log in to the official HEF portal via hef.co.ke.
Once logged in, navigate to the Self-serve tab and select the option for Compliance Certificate.
Finally, click on Get Certificate to instantly generate the document.
The process is free, ensuring that no additional charges are incurred.

Applicants who encounter challenges can reach the Higher Education Loans Board through their official contacts provided on the website or visit customer service centres for assistance.
