Residents of Koisagat village, Kericho County are reeling in shock and grief following the gruesome discovery of a man’s severed head inside a cooking pot early Wednesday, February 19.
This was discovered by a child who had gone to prepare tea, only to find the head in a pot previously used to cook ugali. Upon seeing that she started screaming alarming the residents.
The victim of the incident was later discovered two kilometers away in a nearby thicket.
Outraged by the horrific deed, Koisagat residents staged a protest, accusing a local businessman of being responsible for the act.
They claimed that the suspect has been behind the ongoing insecurity in the village with the support of the police.
Responding to the incident, Kericho County Police Commander James Ngetich assured residents that thorough investigations were ongoing.
