I WILL NOT WORSHIP ANY HUMAN (RUTO) — MUTURI RESPONDS TO A SCENE OF AG BOWING AT PRESIDENT RUTO

While referring to a viral image of the current Attorney General, Dorcas Oduor, seemingly kneeling before President Ruto, former AG Justin Muturi has described it as a disturbing indication that cabinet officials operate in fear under Ruto’s leadership.

The image shows AG Oduor bowing deeply—appearing almost to kneel—as she approached the President.

Muturi, who was removed from the Attorney General’s position over alleged incompetence, criticized the gesture, saying he would never have done the same. He termed the act as “stooping so low as to worship a fellow human being.”

“As a former Attorney General, I can confidently say: I could never have done this. I cannot and will not worship any human being,” he posted.

He added:
“This image of AG Dorcas Oduor nearly kneeling before the President is disturbing and confirms what I once said—that the cabinet operates in fear.”

Muturi went on to urge Kenyans to reject what he termed “a culture of submission,” warning that it breeds authoritarianism.

Muturi was later dismissed from his second role as Public Service Cabinet Secretary, also over alleged incompetence. While serving in that position, he was vocal against a wave of abductions and even called out President Ruto, suggesting he was behind the disappearances.
