KENYA READY TO BE FIRST WORLD NATION - PRES. RUTO

President William Ruto has announced that Kenya is finalizing an ambitious long-term development framework aimed at transforming the country into a developed, first-world economy within the next two to three decades.

The comprehensive plan, which will soon be tabled in Parliament, outlines a sweeping roadmap for economic growth driven by major investments in infrastructure, energy, and agriculture.

During a Sunday Service at the African Divine Church in Gamalenga, Vihiga County, President Ruto said the proposals form part of his administration’s overarching vision to lift Kenya from a developing to a developed economy through strategic investment and holistic innovation.

“We have the plans and the vision to change this country from a Third World country to a First World country,” Ruto stated. “It is possible to take this country to that level in our lifetime, in about 20 to 30 years.”

According to the President, the blueprint allocates Ksh1.5 trillion for infrastructure projects such as roads, railways, and airports; another Ksh1.5 trillion for energy development; and an equivalent amount to revitalize the agricultural sector.

He revealed that his government aims to bring at least two million acres of land under active cultivation to boost food security and exports.

“To raise that money, we do not have to raise taxes; we just need brains — and that we have,” he remarked confidently.

In total, the plan will require approximately Ksh4 trillion to create a food-secure, export-oriented economy that guarantees every region access to modern transport networks and reliable electricity.

Ruto emphasized that Kenya must shed its legacy of poverty and underdevelopment by emulating the success stories of Asia’s economic powerhouses.

“China did it, Indonesia did it, Malaysia did it, South Korea and Singapore did it. Kenya will also do it,” he declared.

The Head of State also took a swipe at leaders who constantly criticize the country’s progress, urging Kenyans to embrace patriotism and optimism about the nation’s future.

“We want to tell them, shame on you, because Kenya is a blessed, great nation, and we are going places,” he said.
“There are leaders who, when they speak, you wonder why they are leaders if they do not believe anything good can come out of Kenya.”

The upcoming development blueprint is expected to be one of the most defining policies of Ruto’s presidency — a master plan that could set Kenya on a historic path toward industrialization, modernity, and shared prosperity.

However, most Kenyans have expressed a pessimistic view on the previous terming it as one of his numerous promises which would never reap much. Some also expressed a contrary opinion stating a possibility of the same only if Kenya is ready to imitate the radical measures against corruption - as adopted by these economic heavyweights.
