Former Interior CS, Fred Matiang'i has declared his willingness to speak on the extrajudicial killings and enforced murders during his reign as CS .
Since he declared his bid to run for presidency in the 2027 elections, there have been surmounting pressure from his critics, particularly Kapsaret MP, Oscar Sudi, on him to reveal on what had transpired during his tenure.
Matiang'i efforts to criticise President Ruto's regime over abductions and killings always met a standstill— his critics capitalising on his presumably tainted past to troll him.
Things went down past the wednesday protest when the ex-cs decried of excessive use of force by police . He also slammed the government, majorly, the Interior CS, Kipchumba Murkomen for accusing the opposition of inciting the 25 June protests .
Speaking at the Kenyatta National Hospital on Thursday 26, the Matiang'i called out Murkomen arguing that there are legal means of pressing charges incase they are suspected of inciting the protesters— instead of using them as a scapegoat.
“If the opposition planned the destruction, arrest them. Don’t tell us stories. If you have facts and know who funded it, why aren’t you acting? You’re in power; use the instruments of the state. Don’t talk, act.”
He further went on threatening to speak on the tragic death of former IEBC commissioner, the late Chris Musando, former President Ruto's bodyguard, the late Kipyegon Kinei, business man, Jacob Juma and the controversial body dumping at River Yala. "I am ready to talk".
In stating this, he called upon the government to roll out a means of investigating on these instances , as it has sought to investigate on the inciters.
