MOTHER OF KENYAN POLICE OFFICER KILLED IN HAITI SPEAKS OUT

The family of a Kenyan police officer who died while serving in Haiti has appealed to the government for support to bring his body home for burial.
Corporal Kennedy Mutuku Nzuve, 41, was killed on August 31, 2025, in a road accident involving a convoy of the Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission in Haiti. He had been deployed to the Caribbean nation earlier this year as part of Kenya’s contribution to a United Nations-backed security mission.
Speaking to reporters, his mother recalled their last conversation and urged the government to help the family accord him a dignified send-off.
“What we really need is full support so that we can lay our child to rest with dignity and honor. That is all we are asking from the government, if possible,” she said.
The fallen officer, a father of two, was scheduled to travel back to Kenya on leave in November. His family described him as a dedicated officer who served his country with pride.
The government has not yet announced the arrangements for repatriating his remains.
