MP Amisi Defends CDF General Kahariri

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has warned Kenyans against attacking Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Charles Kahariri over his recent statement on the ‘Ruto Must Go’ campaign.

Amisi, in a post on X, explained that the military chief was only emphasizing the need for any political movement to follow the constitution to avoid plunging the country into chaos.

He said the CDF was not against the chants but was only insisting it should be done through the ballot.

“We are again getting it wrong by attacking the CDF. General Kahariri only said the ‘Ruto Must Go’ movement must be constitutional to avoid anarchy. The military should be the last institution any peace-loving Kenyan should attack,” Amisi wrote.

Amisi’s call for voter mobilization signals a push for change through the ballot rather than unconstitutional means.

“Young people should start mobilizing for IDs and later get voter’s cards. Let’s make it mandatory for youth to present their voter’s card before receiving any service. That is how Kenya will change,” he added.

The General reminded citizens that Kenya is their only home and urged them to protect its peace.
