MP JUNET CRITICS THE PRESIDENT OF RECYCLING INCOMPETENT LEADERS

Suna East Law Maker, Junet Mohamed faulted President Ruto for renominating his former people who he had sacked from their previous posts .

Junet stated that recycling of such incompetent individuals was denying the qualified people an opportunity to serve in the posts they deserve.

The minority leader further argued that the president treasures loyalty at the expense of competency.

This arose while the National Assembly was mulling over former Health CS, Susan Nakhumicha 's nomination as permanent representative of Kenya to the UN- Habitat, Nairobi.

Frustrated Junet remarked that Nakhumicha was sacked for inefficiency in her health docket and neither is she professionally qualified for her nominated role.

"We cannot be recycling people who have served in a high office then give them another office. When will our career diplomats get a chance to serve in our diplomatic missions? Every politician or civil servant who has failed is being dumped to a certain mission. This is demoralising our career civil servants. There is no broad-based government in this," he said.

Refering to the late President Moi and Kibaki regime, the legislator enhanced that it was almost impossible to win back the confidence of the president after being sacked .

"The late Daniel Moi never did this; Mwai Kibaki never did it. This thing of recycling people like Dandora waste started with the Jubilee administration. This culture must end. By the time the appointing authority is relieving people of their duties, there must have been a problem, either some incompetence somewhere, malpractice, or even a change of loyalty. I want to see in a list of 10 diplomatic appointments; at least six or seven are career diplomats, and then we can have top-ups of three who are not from that line," Junet added.

In addition he threatened to propose a law , barring sacked civil servants or failed politicians from having posts that professionals deserve.
