MP SUDI ENCOURAGES CHURCH CONTRIBUTIONS AND SUNDAY SCHOOLS

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has joined President Ruto in defending Church contributions, he stated this terming the critics of such, as past Sunday School truants and urging parents to take their children to Sunday school, so they learn Christian based norms.

Speaking at the Eldoret pioneer DCC Women's conference, held at Aic Koilebel local Church, the vocal law maker referred and condemned an incident in Roysambu, Nairobi, where protesters demanded that Bishop Edward Mwai of Jesus Winner Ministry return a Kshs 20 million contribution from President Ruto.

"If you see those opposing churches, even the young people who tried to force a church in Kasarani to return money, it’s because their parents never took them to Sunday school," Sudi stated.

He also advised parents to embrace taking their children to Sunday school so as to inculcate a virtuous life.
"I ask every parent, if possible, take your child to Sunday school and church. They will understand the importance of the church and how to live a righteous life."

Sudi further dismissed former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, for recently accusing him of bribing a Kshs 2 million to a PCEA church to corce them into supporting the government. He went on accusing Gachagua of meddling in petty issues rather than concentrating on problems that press Kenyans.

"This is why Gachagua is now at home. He failed to lead Kenyans. He claimed I was sent with Kshs 2 million to silence a church. But let me tell him, the work I’ve done for churches in Kapseret, he could never do. If his wife Dorcas leaves him, it’s because he’s dishonest." He said.

This church contributions discussion has sparked a mix of reactions from Kenyans, some stating that the church should eschew monies from corrupt politicians while others argue that, it is not the role of the church to determine if those monies are from corruption or not.

However, leaders like Sudi have maintained that Churches should be supported financially regardless criticism.
