MP SUDI; MALALA IS A THIEF!

Barely a month after the hostility between former Kakamega Senator, Cleophas Malala and the government, over the controversial play, entitled, 'Echoes of War' , Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has emerged with fresh claims and damning claims against the embattled ex- senator.

During an interview on Tuesday, April 22 , Sudi disclosed that they had resolved to back Malala for a Cabinet Secretary's or a Principal Secretary's position , but his bad report with the National Intelligence Service (NIS) barred him from being appointed.

"Malala wanted to become a Cabinet Secretary. We fought for him, along with his friends, so that he could be appointed, but his report from the NIS came out very badly, so it didn’t work out ," Sudi said.

The Kapsaret MP went on stating that, the UDA Secretary General's position given to Malala was the last option they had for him.

“He was then promised the position of Principal Secretary, but that also failed, and that’s how he ended up being given the role of UDA Secretary General, which allows him to sit in the Cabinet,” he added.

He further claimed that they did all their best to fund Malala's Kakamega Gubernatorial bid only to find out that he was diverting the campaign funds to build his mansion.

“We supported Malala in his bid to become the governor of Kakamega. We gave him money, only to find out later he was building a house. He didn’t even campaign. While Barasa was being sworn in, Malala was busy launching his new house,” Sudi alleged .

The Kapseret law maker went more violent terming their impeached UDA, Secretary General, Malala, as utterly corrupt, and he was impeached for draining the party's coffers with his unnecessary withdrawals.

"Go to the UDA party, he was withdrawing more than 5 million every week. He is a thief,” Sudi claimed.

Malala was ousted as the UDA Secretary General in August 2024 and replaced by the EALA Member of Parliament, Hassan Omar in an ad lib capacity.
