MUSALIA MUDAVADI PRAISES KENYA POLICE

Prime Cabinet Secretary (PCS) Musalia Mudavadi has described the Kenyan Police as being among the professional security agencies in the world.
During the welcome of Dr. Amani Komora, the Chairperson National Police Service Commission (NPSC) at Oda village, in Tana River, Mudavadi noted that the force had participated in 50 peace missions across the world because of their professionalism.

PCS Mudavadi also appealed to the leadership in security to carry on the great tradition.
"Our Security staff are professional, disciplined and perceived internationally. We have to maintain the Standards at all times," Mudavadi said.

PCS quoted the example of over 800 police officers who had been sent to restore peace in their recent assignment in Haiti, commending them for maintaining professionalism amidst the drama in the Caribbean nation.
"The Haitian peace mission is in Haiti for 15 months and there is no single documented case of human rights abuses. This is a testiment to their professionalism," Mudavadi stated.

He urged Dr. Komora to ensure the police standards stay in his tenure just like they were during that of his predecessor, Mr. Eliud Kinuthia."You have no option as the chairperson but to ensure standards are maintained, if not as they are, they must be higher," Mudavadi said.

PCS called on the residents and the leaders of Tana River County to promote and maintain peace in their county in an effort to ensure that they are able to attract investors and grow the economy in their region.

"Any investor is willing to put their money and investment where they are certain there is peace. It is therefore crucial that you live a peaceful life so that you can attract development in your place," Mudavadi stated.
"The such initiatives as are taking place in Galana Kulalu can only thrive if they are in a state of peace."

During his speech, the PCS honored Komora's outstanding service and unyielding commitment to national cohesion and institutional integrity.

He lauded Komora's leadership as a shinning example to the youth and testament to the miracle of commitment and discipline.
The event did reflect the essence of unity and respect for those who serve Kenya in dignity.
