NDINDI NYORO OUSTED FOR REFUSING TO BACK GACHAGUA IMPEACHMENT

Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu has sensationally claimed that Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro was removed as Chairperson of the National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee because he refused to support the impeachment of then Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Speaking during a televised interview, Nyutu alleged that Nyoro’s decision to vote against or abstain from the impeachment motion marked a turning point in his relationship with President William Ruto.
“The fallout between the President and Ndindi began when he failed to support Gachagua’s removal. That was the cardinal sin. The President will never forgive anyone who went against him on that matter,” Nyutu stated.
The remarks have reignited speculation surrounding the abrupt removal of Nyoro from one of the most powerful parliamentary committees. The MP himself had earlier said he was not informed of the decision beforehand and only learned of his ouster through media reports.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also weighed in on the issue, expressing surprise at Nyoro’s removal. He noted that Nyoro had never publicly supported him and questioned the logic behind the leadership change.
President Ruto, responding to growing criticism, maintained that the committee reshuffle was part of a broader effort to accommodate leaders from across the political spectrum. He insisted the move was not targeted at any individual but aimed at fostering inclusivity within Parliament.
Despite the explanations, Senator Nyutu's latest remarks have cast fresh doubts on the official narrative, suggesting internal divisions and political loyalty tests may have played a larger role in Nyoro’s removal than previously acknowledged.
