The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced 75 new job opportunities for its graduates through a partnership with BrighterMonday Kenya.
Released on Thursday, July 10, the announcement targets NYS alumni interested in joining the hospitality industry in Nairobi, with branches nationwide where successful applicants would be recruited as waiters and waitresses.
The job placements are part of NYS’s Domestic Job Linkages program, which aims to ease the transition from training to employment for national service graduates.
To access the application details, such as job requirements, the application process, and deadlines, use the NYS employment portal at https://nysemploymentliaison.link/q5q. You will also find an online form accessible at https://forms.gle/XosBofVrp2Fvrj3bA.
Applicants are required to provide personal and service details, including their NYS service number, ID number, full name, gender, home county, and the course undertaken during their NYS training.
Other personal information required includes the year they were discharged from service, whether they are fresh graduates or experienced job seekers, and the years of relevant experience.
Supporting documents must also be uploaded using the same form. These include academic certificates, additional training certificates, an updated CV, proof of practical experience in hospitality, such as reference letters or certificates of service, and the NYS discharge certificate.
NYS finally assured that the names of qualified candidates would be forwarded to the employers, who would then contact them directly for interviews or job offers.
