ODM RALLIES BEHIND RAILA

Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga and several ODM Members of Parliament have strongly defended the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga against rising speculation on his health, blaming opposition leaders for propaganda.
During the Sigand Nyi Nam ceremony in Siaya on Sunday, Governor Wanga dismissed former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for what she called divisive politics.

Such resistance is falling apart due to the fact that one man called Gachagua is just such a divisive character, he cannot bring people together. Baba unites, Gachagua divides," Wanga added.
The governor went on to warn Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and other leaders in the opposition camp.

"This fellow is disrespecting even those who are his supposed partners. The other day he said Matiangi is a boardroom fellow and cannot be a president," she said.

Female leaders at hand condemned the opposition for what they called calculated misinformation.
Kisumu West MP Rosa Buyu criticized Gachagua, saying he is exploiting Odinga's health for political gain.

"Raila Odinga cannot be his agenda if he is to rule this country. Can he tell Kenyans what he would want to do for this country? Providing an example of the poor health of Raila…who informed him Raila is sick?" Buyu questioned.
"Raila is a glue that holds this country together. In the absence of Raila, this country would not have been as peaceful as it is today."

On their part, Siaya Woman Representative Christine Ombaka and her counterpart Fatuma Mohamed from Migori both denounced Gachagua, calling for mature leadership.
They warned that it is not only dangerous but also immoral to use an individual's health as a weapon of politics.

Addressing in his own time from Uguja constituency, Suba South MP Caroli Omondi urged Kenyans to pray for the quick recovery of Odinga.
