POLICE LINKED WITH OJWANG'S DEATH ARRESTED

Central Police Station Constable , James Mukhwana has been arrested after being linked with the murder of 31-year old, social media influencer , Albert Ojwang.

The alleged was arrested by officers from the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) of the National Police Service and the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) , and barred at Capitol Hill Police Station.

"Please be informed that PC James Mukhwana of Central Police Station Nairobi was arrested today 12/06/2025 and placed in custody at Capitol Hill Police Station by officers from IAU and IPOA and is to be charged with the offence of murder contrary to section 203 as read with Section 204 of the penal code following the death of one Albert Ojwang," reports from the officers noted.

The late Ojwang was arrested by DCI officers in Homa Bay County and was ferried to the Central Police Station , Nairobi, being charged of allegedly 'tarnishing' the name of DIG , Eliud Langat.

On Sunday morning, he was declared dead, the police filing the death as a suicide. However, these reports were deemed false by an autopsy which revealed that Ojwang's death was as a result of brutal throbbing , marked by severe injuries in the limbs, face swells and blood oozing from the mouth and nose.

Further investigations exposed the death as a deliberate orchestration to take Albert out, following, him being transferred a 350 km distance from Homa Bay to Nairobi, the Police Station's CCTV systems being turned off and the refusal to allow the family access the cell which hosted the deceased.
