The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 4,000 internship opportunities under Cohort 1 in the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, specifically within the State Department for Housing and Urban Development. In a notice issued on July 22, 2025, PSC invited applications from degree and diploma graduates across 41 professional disciplines. Among the advertised positions, PSC aims to recruit 300 architects, 250 professionals in construction management, and 180 in Health and Safety.
Additionally, 200 vacancies have been declared across various engineering and technical fields including Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, and Realtors. There are 150 openings available in Environmental Practice, Communication and Branding, and Urban and Regional Planning. Social Development graduates can apply for 165 available positions, while fields such as Land Surveying/Geo-Spatial Landscape Architecture, and Valuation each have 100 vacancies. Several categories including Accountants, Architectural Assistants, Building Inspectors, Civil Engineering Inspectors, Electrical Inspectors, Quantity Surveying Assistants, Legal Officers, Structural Assistants, and Economists each have 60 openings.
There are 50 internship opportunities in disciplines such as Geoinformation, Interior Design, Digital Marketing, Data Entry, Financial Analysis, Supply Chain Management, Property Management, and Property Marketing. To qualify, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in one of the listed disciplines from a recognized university and must have graduated no earlier than 2018. Candidates are also required to be proficient in computer skills.
Successful interns will be assigned duties as mutually agreed with their supervisors and will be expected to document the skills they acquire during their deployment in the Affordable Housing Program. Interns will support nationwide project promotions, mentorship initiatives, and other activities aligned with the program. The internship will include government set stipend and upon successful completion, interns will receive a certificate from the State Department for Housing and Urban Development.
