RAILA WENT TO HELL , THEN FREED AFTER 3 DAYS - PROPHET CLAIMS

A controversial prophecy delivered in Kisumu has triggered uproar across social media, after a local preacher claimed that the late Raila Odinga was spiritually taken to hell after death , following alleged cultic association— but later released under mysterious divine intervention.

Prophet Samo Mtishiby, a Western Kenya-based preacher, made the explosive remarks during a sermon that has since gone viral online, drawing thousands of reactions.

According to Mtishiby, Raila was allegedly escorted to hell moments after his passing due to what he claims was a secret initiation into the Freemasons nearly three decades ago.

“When Raila died he was taken straight to hell. The reason he was taken to hell is because in 1996 he was initiated to the Freemasons. So he was taken to hell directly,” the preacher said during the sermon.

Mtishiby further claimed that events took an unexpected turn on what he described as the “third day of judgment,” when an angel reportedly visited Raila’s grave and found crowds still mourning.

He says the deep admiration expressed through tributes and testimonies from supporters influenced the spiritual outcome.

According to Mtishiby’s account, the masses who spoke fondly of Raila moved the angel to deliver a plea, resulting in his removal from hell — though without entry into heaven.

“So Raila was removed from hell, but he’s not in Heaven. He was just removed because there is a special case pending over Raila,” he alleged.

The preacher also insisted that Raila never made a public profession of faith, claiming this remains a stumbling block to his supposed heavenly fate.

“He never confessed Jesus Christ as his personal saviour but he confessed his religion,” Mtishiby said, cautioning followers against perceiving religion alone as salvation.

Despite the grim message, the preacher praised Raila as kind-hearted and generous, saying he often supported others silently and without seeking recognition.

He further described the late former Prime Minister as “blood-free,” alleging that “his hands were pure and without bloodshed.”

Mtishiby defended his prophecy forcefully, insisting he has no motivation to lie.

“I have been a prophet for 40 years,” he said. “I have no reason to lie.”

The prophecy has been met with widespread skepticism online, with many Kenyans expressing discomfort over the remarks, especially so soon after Raila’s death.

Some have questioned the timing, describing the statements as insensitive and unnecessarily provocative during national mourning.

Others have called for restraint among clergy when addressing matters of death and the afterlife — particularly involving figures held in high regard by the public.

The self-proclaimed prophet had also predicted, in the run-up to the 2022 General Election, that Raila Odinga would win the presidency and that William Ruto would “face shame” in defeat — prophecies that ultimately proved to be wrong.

Given that record, many Kenyans are questioning the credibility of his latest claims. However, despite widespread skepticism, a section of his followers maintain their belief in his visions.
