SAKAJA OFFERS ALBERT OJWANG'S WIDOW JOB IN COUNTY GOVERNMENT

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has extended a helping hand to the family of Albert Ojwang’, the teacher and blogger who died in police custody under unclear circumstances.

Speaking during a church service on Sunday, June 15, Sakaja said he had met with Ojwang’s parents and widow, Nevnine Onyango, to find ways of supporting them following the tragic death.

“I have already given his wife a job in Nairobi County,” Sakaja revealed. “I have sat down with his father, wife, and mother. We cannot bring him back, but there are many ways we can still help the family.”

In addition to securing employment for the widow, the governor announced that Ojwang’s father had been given rental apartments in Homa Bay County. The units are expected to generate a sustainable income for the family.

Sakaja, who noted that Ojwang’ had occasionally worked with his team, pledged continued support to the bereaved family.

The governor also made a passionate appeal for justice, calling on President William Ruto to ensure transparency in the investigations surrounding Ojwang’s death.

“Let there be no sacred cow,” he said. “Do not allow any cover-up for the murdered teacher and blogger.”

Ojwang’s death has sparked national outrage, with growing calls for accountability from law enforcement agencies.
