STAGE MANAGED DESTRUCTION TO FRAME THE GENZs

Ex number two, Rigathi Gachagua has launched serious accusations against Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah, claiming he orchestrated attacks on police stations to falsely implicate Gen Z protesters and pave the way for government repression.

During a Wednesday, July 9, press briefing, Gachagua alleged that the widely reported June 25 attack on a police station was not the work of demonstrators but rather a calculated plan executed by people close to President William Ruto.

“I want to explain. I have heard the President say our people attacked the police station. It was all stage-managed by the MP for Kikuyu,” Gachagua said.

He challenged the official version of events, questioning how civilians with no weapons could overpower security officers in a protected facility.

“How do you explain that people can walk into a police station, and they are not armed, and take over the police station from armed police officers?” he asked.

Adding:
“How do you go to courts that are guarded by armed police officers and torch them?”

The former DP claimed the events were deliberately designed to justify the arrest of opposition voices using the country’s toughest laws.

“All these attacks on vital installations were stage-managed by William Ruto through Kimani Ichung’wah to create the opportunity to prefer charges against people using the Terrorism Act,” he said.

He pointed out that this wasn’t the first time he had questioned the narrative. On June 29, Gachagua had dismissed claims that protesters torched the Dagoretti Police Post.

“What you’re hearing about a police station being burnt in Kikuyu is a lie. Who can attack a police station when they have no guns and police are armed?” he had said.

In the same breath, the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader went further, alleging that police leadership had been summoned to State House and given specific orders to target selected politicians — especially from the Mt. Kenya region.

“The meeting that happened at State House, all police were summoned so that they could frustrate these leaders,” he claimed.

Gachagua's allegations comes just a week after the Kikuyu law maker accused him of hiring goons to destroy property in Kikuyu and attempt to kill his parents. Ob hoc, he called for Gachagua's arrest.
Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi also hinted at plans to arrest the former DP over alleged funding of goons in the previous protests.
