Super Metro Sacco has finally resumed its operations from a three day suspension by NTSA. This follows the Transport Licensing Appeals Board vacating an earlier suspension order that had provisionally halted the company’s services.
The Appeals Board informed the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to put forward any remaining issues related to SuperMetro’s compliance within seven day duration. The Sacco has also been required to respond to those pending issues with a seven day ultimatum.
“The order issued on 14th April 2025 suspending the appellant’s operations is hereby vacated,” the Board stated in its official order. “The appellant shall be at liberty to immediately resume operations in due compliance with the law.”

The Deputy Director and Head of Safety Compliance, NTSA, Wilson Tuigong, stated that the concerned authority replied to a case filed before the tribunal by Super Metro, pointing out that the compliance checks were provoked by overwhelming public rage regarding the conduct of Super Metro's staff, drivers, and conductors included.
