Suspected Robbers Lynched in Kisumu

Two suspected robbers were lynched by a mob on Friday night in the Tumaini area of Nyalenda, Kisumu County, following a foiled robbery attempt.

According to eyewitness reports, the three suspects, riding on a motorbike, ambushed a female pedestrian, attacking her with a metal rod before snatching her bag and phone.

The incident prompted members of the public, who witnessed the attack, to raise the alarm.

The mob quickly cornered two of the suspects, who were beaten and killed on the spot. The third accomplice managed to escape the scene on the motorbike.

The female victim, who sustained injuries during the incident, was rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH), where she is currently recuperating.

Police have launched a manhunt for the remaining suspect.
