The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has opened its recruitment portal for graduate teachers to apply for internship vacancies. The commission advertised 24,000 openings in Junior Secondary Schools (JSS).
TSC asked candidates to submit their academic and professional certificates by Tuesday, September 9 2025.
"The application portal for 24,000 vacancies for teacher interns in junior schools is open. Interested and eligible individuals must apply online by midnight on September 9, 2025, via the commission's website, under "careers," or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke," TSC stated.
Successful candidates will support the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
The requirements for the internships are:-
1.Candidates must be Kenyan citizens.
2. Applicants should have graduated with a diploma in education with a minimum mean grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and C+ in two teaching subjects.
3. Candidates should be registered members of the TSC and should produce a copy of the Teacher registration certificate or a print-out from the TSC online portal as evidence.
4.A copy of the National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD) card (where applicable).
5. A copy of the national identity card (ID) or passport. Two colour passport-size photographs.
6.A copy of the Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN).
