Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has sparked conversations after revealing that she would consider becoming a second wife in a polygamous marriage, as long as the relationship is built on respect and maturity. Speaking on the Lip Service podcast on October 14, the 45-year-old artist opened up about her views on love and companionship, saying that at her age, finding a mature and emotionally available partner can be challenging. Tiwa, who divorced her ex-husband Tunji ‘Teebillz’ Balogun in 2018, explained that she now values peace of mind more than anything else in a relationship. She noted that many women her age face similar struggles, as men who match their level of experience and emotional depth are often already married. Her candid remarks have since ignited wide debate online, with fans and social commentators weighing in on the evolving perceptions of marriage, gender roles, and personal choice within Nigeria’s entertainment scene. While some applauded her honesty and independence, others questioned the idea of embracing polygamy, reflecting broader societal tensions between traditional and modern relationship ideals.\
