UDA MALAVA BY-ELECTION CANDIDATE ENOCK ANDANJE DIES AFTER COLLAPSING AT EVENT

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate for the upcoming Malava by-election, Enock Andanje, has died after collapsing during a public event in West Kabras, Kakamega County.
Andanje, a former principal of Bungoma High School, was attending a widows’ empowerment forum presided over by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on Friday August 15, 2025, when he suddenly collapsed.
Efforts to resuscitate him at the venue were unsuccessful, and he was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Mudavadi, who was present at the event, announced the tragic news, describing Andanje as a dedicated leader committed to serving the people of Malava.
Authorities have indicated that a post-mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death.
The Malava parliamentary seat fell vacant following the death of MP Moses Malulu Injendi in July.
