WANJIKU THIGA ABDUCTED AT KAMAKIS

Wanjiku Thiga, a prominent youth leader of the Democracy for Citizens Party and a close ally of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, has reportedly been abducted in broad daylight at Kamakis along the Eastern Bypass.
The shocking incident came to light after Thiga posted a brief but alarming message on X (formerly Twitter) stating, “I have been abducted at Kamakis.” The post has since gone viral, sparking widespread concern and calls for urgent action from both political leaders and the public.
According to reports, the abduction occurred at a busy stopover, raising questions about how such a brazen act could take place in a well-trafficked area during the day.
Police are yet to release an official statement on the incident, but sources indicate that investigations are underway. Thiga’s party has also not issued a formal response, though several allies have condemned the abduction online, urging security agencies to act swiftly to secure her release.
Wanjiku Thiga has recently been vocal about rising cases of politically motivated disappearances and threats, particularly involving youth activists and opposition-linked figures.
This incident adds to growing fears over the safety of outspoken political figures in Kenya, especially as tensions rise across the country amid ongoing national conversations about governance, protests, and police conduct.
