WINNIE ODINGA ON VYING FOR PRESIDENCY

EALA MP Winnie Odinga has dismissed speculations on her bid to run for presidency come the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at Hot 96 on Thursday, May 8, she acknowledged the desire and push of Kenyans in her stepping up for an elective position, but she is yet to deliberate on that.

"At the moment, I am not really keen on it. People are asking me to do that, but I am not feeling it right now," Winnie said.

The daughter of former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, further revealed that she wasn't also into retaining her EALA seat, highlighting that they are other individuals who could be more competent than her.

"I think that there would be somebody better suited than me," she continued.

While acknowledging the embodiment of some opposition leaders into government, she factored in the frustrations of Kenyans , urging the government to address the issues that affect them.

"Living in Kenya can be very annoying. It is frustrating. Nothing works. Simple things cannot be done. The bubble is going to burst," she expressed.
