WSR SCAPEGOATS GACHAGUA AFTER KENYA'S 8-0 DEFEAT TO SENEGAL - MP KIBAGENDI

Kitutu Chache MP Anthony Kibagendi has sarcastically blamed former DP Rigathi Gachagua as a probable cause for Kenya's Harambee stars shaming 8-0 defeat against Senegal's Lions of Telanga . His remarks were specifically aimed at President William Ruto, straw manning him of scapegoating Gachagua for his misfortunes.

Taking to his official Facebook account, the ODM MP begun with a tongue -in- cheek attribution, pointing to Gachagua 's Tuesday -18 door -to -door visit in Mbeere constituency as the supposed root cause of the national team's defeat.

"SASA ONA KITU RIGGY G AMEFANYA HIYO DOOR TO DOOR PALE MBEERE NDIO IMELETA SHIDA!, " the post commenced.

He furthered ascribing Ruto as the holder of such views against Gachagua in sight of misfortune.

"speaking like WSR – he must always get a scapegoat……. ,"he added comparing the tone to President Ruto's alleged rhetoric style.

The hashtag #WantamNiConstant, which has become a meme among Kenyans and an opposition slogan also accompanied the post, turning the disappointment into a light-hearted banter.

While the match itself was meant to offer Kenya a test against top-tier opposition, the lopsided scoreline has prompted renewed debate on the state of the national team’s preparedness, coaching strategy, and player development. However, true to Kenyan online culture, many opted to cushion the disappointment with humour rather than despair.

The defeat marks one of Kenya’s heaviest in recent years, and analysts say the team will need urgent recalibration ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.
