FRANK MILL, 1990 WORLD CUP WINNER WITH WEST GERMANY, DIES AT 67

Frank Mill, a 1990 FIFA World Cup winner and former star of Borussia Dortmund, has died at the age of 67. His former clubs, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Rot-Weiss Essen, confirmed his death on Tuesday.

Mill had been battling health issues following a severe heart attack in May. He passed away due to complications related to that incident.

Though he didn’t play in the 1990 World Cup matches, Mill was a key member of West Germany's squad that triumphed in Italy. He also helped his country clinch a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Mill earned 17 caps for West Germany in his international career and left a mark on German football with both his on-field talent and off-field legacy.

His hometown club, Rot-Weiss Essen, remembered him as a legend and a national football ambassador.

Frank Mill is now the second member of the 1990 World Cup team to pass away, following the death of Andreas Brehme earlier this year the man who famously scored the winning goal in the final.
