YUNGE’S ALLEGED EX CRIES FOUL AFTER CHARLENE’S WEDDING

The traditional wedding of President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge has taken an unexpected turn on social media after a woman claiming to have previously been in a relationship with Yunge publicly reacted to the ceremony.

The woman, identified online as Princess Nguemma, expressed shock after photographs and videos of Charlene and Yunge’s high-profile traditional ceremony surfaced on social media.

In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Stories, Nguemma appeared to question why Yunge had not told her that he was planning to marry.
“So why didn’t you say that you were getting married? Very sneaky move there,” she wrote in one of the posts.

Her reaction quickly drew attention, with some of her subsequent posts taking aim at aspects of the wedding, including Charlene’s hairstyle and the wedding cake.

Nguemma also made further allegations concerning her purported relationship with Yunge. She claimed that Charlene had used anonymous social media accounts to monitor her after she publicly spoke about her alleged relationship with Yunge.

She additionally made claims about private material allegedly involving Yunge being circulated online.

However, the claims made by Nguemma have not been independently verified, and neither Charlene nor Yunge has publicly confirmed the allegations. Her stated connection to the late former Guinean President Lansana Conté has also not been independently established.

The online controversy comes shortly after Charlene and Yunge held their traditional wedding ceremony at Inona Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, in an event that attracted prominent political and social figures.

As the conversation around the newlyweds intensified, an older television interview featuring Yunge also resurfaced online.
In the interview, which appeared on the show Salama, the Tanzanian entrepreneur was asked about his dating life and whether he had already introduced a woman to his family.

The light-hearted exchange saw Yunge respond “kimoja” after the presenter asked whether he was still “onja onja” — a phrase suggesting someone was still exploring romantic relationships.

The clip has attracted renewed interest because of Yunge’s current relationship with Charlene, with social media users revisiting his comments in light of the couple’s wedding.
Much of the interview, however, focused on Yunge’s professional journey rather than his personal life.

He spoke about his upbringing in Nyanguge village in Magu District, Mwanza, and how witnessing young people leave rural areas in search of opportunities influenced his interest in technology and education.

Yunge also discussed his studies at Tanzania’s Institute of Finance Management and his efforts to develop technology aimed at helping young Africans access scholarships and education opportunities.

His journey from a rural upbringing to becoming a technology entrepreneur has previously attracted attention, with his work being recognised by Forbes.

The resurfaced interview has therefore added another layer to the growing public interest in the man who has now married Kenya’s First Daughter.

For now, the claims surrounding Nguemma remain social-media allegations rather than established facts. The focus on the newlyweds continues to grow, however, as their traditional wedding and Yunge’s previously private life attract increasing public scrutiny.
