FRENCH PRESIDENT SHAMED BY WIFE AGAIN

What was meant to be a moment of diplomatic grace turned uncomfortable when French President Emmanuel Macron was publicly snubbed by his wife, Brigitte Macron — not once, but twice — during the first day of their UK state visit.

As King Charles III and Queen Camilla warmly welcomed the Macrons to Windsor Castle, President Macron extended his hand toward Brigitte, attempting to clasp hers while they strolled alongside the British monarchs. But once again, she seemingly brushed off the gesture, leaving the president to lower his hand and walk on, momentarily alone in stride.

This marked the second apparent snub of the day. Earlier, as the French delegation arrived at RAF Northolt and disembarked from their official jet, Macron reached out to assist his wife down the plane’s staircase. Brigitte, however, opted to hold onto the handrail, declining his hand and proceeding independently as Prince William and Princess Catherine waited at the bottom to receive them.

Observers noted a frosty atmosphere as the couple entered their vehicle en route to Windsor. President Macron appeared immersed in documents, while Brigitte remained absorbed with her phone, barely interacting with her husband.

The tense public displays have reignited speculation about the state of the Macrons' relationship — tensions that first captured global attention just weeks ago in Vietnam. During an official visit to Hanoi in late May, video footage emerged appearing to show Brigitte raising a hand to her husband's face in what some interpreted as a slap, just as the two disembarked their plane.

While the Élysée Palace has not commented on these interactions, the repeated gestures — or rejections thereof — have added a layer of personal intrigue to what was meant to be a celebration of Franco-British ties.
