Jessica Mbalu Rallies Kibwezi East Residents to Register as Voters Ahead of 2027 Polls

Kibwezi East Member of Parliament Jessica Nduku Mbalu has urged residents of her constituency to register as voters in large numbers ahead of the 2027 General Election, saying voter registration is key to shaping Kenya’s political future.

Speaking during a Wiper Democratic Movement rally at Uhuru Park, Nairobi, Mbalu said the party remains united and ready to form the next government.

“As members of the opposition, we are demonstrating unity of purpose and our readiness to go to State House,” she said. “Wiper is very united — young people, women, and elders are all standing together for one goal.”

Mbalu, who also serves as the Deputy Organising Secretary of the Makueni Wiper branch, said the party has intensified grassroots mobilisation in Kibwezi East to ensure more people, especially youth and women, take part in the ongoing voter registration drive.

“In Kibwezi East, we are mobilising everyone — the youth, women, and all residents — to register as voters. This unity at the constituency level will strengthen our country and our democracy,” she said.

She also noted that some members who missed the rally would be engaged internally, stressing that the party remains intact and focused.

“Unless one is unwell, all of us are here and united. Those who missed will be spoken to through proper party channels,” she said.

The rally brought together Wiper leaders from across Machakos, Makueni, and Kitui counties in what party officials described as a renewed show of unity and strength ahead of the 2027 elections.
