KENYA AIRWAYS DECLARES CFO POSITION VACANT AFTER KSH12 BILLION LOSS

Kenya Airways has announced that its Chief Finance Officer (CFO) position is vacant following the carrier’s KSh12 billion after-tax loss recorded in the first half of 2025.
The airline said it has begun a recruitment process to fill the top finance post, outlining key qualifications and responsibilities for potential candidates.
Kenya Airways recorded the multi-billion shilling loss after reduced fleet capacity cut revenues by about KSh17 billion.
In the interim, the board has appointed Mary Mwenga as Acting CFO, effective August 30, to oversee financial operations until a permanent appointment is made.
The move underscores the airline’s efforts to stabilise its finances and reassure investors and stakeholders amid persistent operational challenges.
